A Rainy Day Game for your Child

It’s a rainy day.  Your child wants to watch television again.  Say, “Let’s do that a little later.”

Get out a deck of cards and show them a game!

Lay out the cards face down and let them turn them over two at a time. If they match, for example if they are both nines, then take the cards and put them in a pile.  If they don’t match turn them back face down.  Pick two more cards and do the same.

Keep going until all the cards are matched.  Your child will build visual memory and attention span and have fun at the same time.
